Where our money comes from, and how we keep that separate from our editorial.
How we make money
Today, that's paid business listings (Featured and Premium tiers). No affiliate links are currently active on Happy As Life, and we're not currently earning affiliate commission. If we introduce affiliate links or sponsored placements later, they'll always be clearly labelled.
What that does not influence
Editorial guidance. Paid business listings affect directory placement only — they never buy an editorial recommendation, and they never appear inside a best-of guide's picks. Our product and brand pages are currently informational comparisons, not rankings; if we publish formal rankings in future, commission rates won't determine them.
What we will never do
Sell positions in editorial rankings. Hide affiliate relationships. Publish "reviews" that are actually paid press.
